Covington Man Faces Child Pornography Charges
A Covington man was arrested on child pornography charges this week.
Covington Police, acting on information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Kentucky State Police, obtained a search warrant for 1831 Euclid Avenue.
There, they found Keram Christensen, spoke with him, and then entered the home.
Police seized computer equipment, cellular devices, printed photographs, and other evidence that investigators believe show that Christensen was involved in the possession and distribution of sexually explicit materials involving minors.
Christensen, 38, was taken to police headquarters, interviewed, and then arrested.
He is currently in the Kenton County Detention Center on $25,000 bond where he faces charges of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and first degree distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
Christensen is scheduled to appear in Kenton District Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, August 29 at 1:30 p.m.
He is also a member of the City of Covington's human rights commission, to which he was first appointed by the city commission in 2016 and reappointed in 2018. The city spokesman said Christensen's removal is being discussed.
