NKY Football: Ludlow, Dayton Win Big; Scott Shines at Homecoming; Scoreboard
Another week of high school football action is in the books for Northern Kentucky teams.

Here's what went down on Friday night:
Newport Central Catholic 37
Newport suffered its first loss of the season in a blowout against crosstown rival Newport Central Catholic which has racked up three straight wins to improve to 4-2 on the year. The Wildcats fall to 5-1 and will host Bellevue next week. The Thoroughbreds have next week off before hosting Ludlow the week after.
Nicholas Co. 14
The Panthers had no trouble at home on Friday night putting away Nicholas Co. early. Ludlow is now 4-1 on the year, with four straight blowout victories after its season-opening loss at Carroll Co. Lloyd visits Ludlow next week.
Covington Catholic 45
The Colonels ran away from the Jaguars early and the refs implemented a running clock to get it over with. Cov Cath is now 6-0 and will try to protect its perfect record next week when Boone Co. visits. Cooper drops to 3-3 and visits George Rogers Clark next week.
Rowan Co. 28
The Eagles gave their fans a win on homecoming night in Taylor Mill, and improve to 4-2 on the year. Scott visits Harrison Co. next week.
Holy Cross 22
Bishop Brossart 19
The Indians came back to win only its second game of the year following four straight losses. Holy Cross is now 2-4 this season. The Indians are off next week but host Beechwood the week after. Meanwhile, the Mustangs fall to 2-3 and will try to rebound at home next week against Nicholas Co.
Bracken Co. 14
The Greendevils picked up their fourth straight win on Friday night at Bracken Co. Dayton is now 4-1 and return home next week to host Berea.
Boyle Co. 30
The Bluebirds put up a goose egg on Friday night while visiting a tough, undefeated Boyle Co. squad. Highlands is now 4-2 and returns to Fort Thomas next week to host Conner.
Dixie Heights 35
Madison Central 23
After suffering back-to-back blowout, scoreless losses, the Colonels rebounded on the road at Madison Central. Dixie is now 2-3 and hosts Beechwood next week.
Boone Co. 7
It's four in a row for the Cougars who improve to 4-1 on the year. Next week, Conner travels to face Highlands. For Boone Co., it's also four in row, but losses. The Rebels drop to 2-4 and visit Park Hills next week for a date with Cov Cath.
Cincinnati Elder 49
The Raiders have a tough go of it north of the river on Friday night, being routed by Cincinnati powerhouse Elder. Ryle is 3-3 now on the year and hosts Scott Co. next week.
Gallatin Co. 0
The Bearcats evened up their season record on the road on Friday night, routing Gallatin Co. Walton is now 3-3 ahead of next week's home date with Carroll Co.
Johnson Central 49
Simon Kenton 11
The Pioneers were no match for unbeaten Johnson Central. Simon Kenton, now 3-3, has next week off before hosting Dixie in Independence the week after.
Note: Beechwood hosts Cincinnati Taft on Friday night.
