Mel's Auto Glass Employee Wins Gold Medal in National Competition
An employee at Mel's Auto Glass in Crescent Springs won the gold medal in the worldwide Auto Glass Customer Service Representative (CSR) Competition.
Rose Williams took the top prize at the event sponsored by AGRR magazine earlier this month. She won previously in 2017.
Williams, 57, was awarded a $2,500 cash prize, gold medal, and trophy, and holds the title of “World’s Best Customer Service Representative,” for 2019.
The CSR competition is designed to recognize those who are the voice of the auto glass industry, a news release said.
Williams has 39 years of experience in the business. She has attended several classes on urethane cure time, windshield repairs, recalibration and EDI billing.
“Having the opportunity to watch Rose Williams in action was an honor. The other two finalists were there for good reason and gave Rose some tough competition to go up against. In the end, her thorough knowledge of the industry and her calm and warm demeanor, both in educating her three customers and empathizing with them, led to her second championship win,” said Holly Biller, vice president of media services and event emcee.
“I look forward to attending this event and furthering my education in the customer service and auto glass industry,” Williams said.
The competition was part of Auto Glass Week 2019 held September 4-6 at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indiana.
