Ground to Break on New Wilder City Center Park
The City of Wilder will break ground Sunday on its new City Center Park.
The new addition to the city's amenities, located behind the city building on Licking Pike, will cover roughly three acres and feature an expansion of an existing playground, a splash park, sport court, sand volleyball courts, a concession building and bathrooms, two additional shelters with tables, grills, and an event lawn area.
“I would like to invite the public to come celebrate our groundbreaking as we continue the revitalization of our City Center. When completed, the additional amenities to the park will serve as a community gathering spot for people of all ages,” said Mayor Bob Arnold.
The ceremony will be held at the existing shelter behind the city building at 1 p.m.
Hot dogs, Kona Ice, face-painting, and crafts will be part of the Sunday event.
