Covington Catholic Student Invited to National Hispanic Recognition Program
A Covington Catholic High School student was invited to participate in the National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP).
Christopher Fritz also received a separate honor last month when he was named as a "commended student" by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The College Board invites students that score in the top 2.5 percent among Hispanic and Latino PSAT/NMSQT test-takers in the region to apply for acceptance into the NHRP. All students who applied last spring were evaluated and recognized.
Participation in the NHRP is free of charge and will enable students to highlight their outstanding educational achievements to top colleges and universities, a news release said.
Fitz is the son of Robert and Anne Marie Fitz. He is a member of St. Pius X Parish.
