NKY Teen Indicted on Rape, Sexual Abuse Charges

A 17-year old from Northern Kentucky was indicted Thursday on one count of first degree rape and three counts of first degree sexual abuse.

Joseph Eubank was a student at Covington Catholic High School when the alleged crimes took place.

Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders told WXIX that each of the four counts are related to a different individual accuser.

Eubank will be tried as an adult, according to reports. Sanders said the boy turned 17 two months ago. He is being held still in a juvenile detention center and is expected to appear in court soon.

"Very rare that we have charges this serious against a juvenile. It's extremely rare," Sanders told WLWT. "What's really disturbing about this case is that we have multiple victims."

A rape conviction could bring a sentence of 10 to 20 years while the sexual abuse charges could be met with a sentence of 1 to 5 years each.
