Banta Sworn in as State Representative
State Representative Kim Banta was sworn in on Friday in Frankfort.
The Ft. Mitchell Republican won the special election in the 63rd House District earlier this month by defeating Democrat Josh Blair.
Banta is a retired educator.
She was sworn in by Kenton County Magistrate Katherine Shumate while her husband, Tom Banta, the managing director at Corporex in Covington, held the Bible.
The 63rd District includes parts of northwestern Kenton County and northeastern Boone County.
The seat opened up when Republican Diane. St. Onge resigned over the summer.
