Glick Scores 1,000th Point in Norse Win Over FIU
Molly Glick scored her 1,000th point in a Northern Kentucky uniform as the Norse beat Florida International, 67-45, on Sunday to wrap up the FIU Thanksgiving Classic.
The Norse have evened up their record at 4-4 after winning their fourth straight game,
Glick had 24 points, including five 3-pointers. The redshirt senior was named the tournament's most valuable player.
Ally Niece scored 14 and was named to the all-tournament team while Ivy Turner added 13 points, including a perfect five for five from the free throw line.
NKU jumped out to an early lead at 13-5 before pushing it to 17-8 at the end of the first quarter.
The Norse led by as many as 17 in the second quarter.
In the second half, NKU lit up the scoreboard on a 20-4 run to lead 57-33.
The Norse continued to cruise to post a 22-point win.
Glick became the thirtieth Norse player in program history to score 1,000 points in a career, and the second to do so since NKU moved up to NCAA Division I.
NKU returns to BB&T Arena on Sunday, December 8 to welcome 8th-ranked Louisville at 2 p.m.
