Carnegie's 2020-21 Theatre Season to Include Debut of New Play

A new work by D. Lynn Meyers, producing artistic director at Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, will conclude the next theatrical season at the Carnegie in Covington.

Northern Kentucky's largest arts organization announced the new season last week.

The season opens with the popular musical Little Shop of Horrors, August 8 - 23.

Million Dollar Quartet follows. It is a show inspired by legendary performers Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. It runs November 7 - 22.

Fiddler on the Roof runs January 9 - 24.

The Carnegie teams up with the Northern Kentucky University School of the Arts to present the new play by D. Lynn Meyers, which will run April 10 - 25.

Students at NKU will work with Meyers throughout the 2020-21 school year leading up to the play's performances.

The play will also kick off the 20th anniversary of the YES Festival, NKU's new play festival.

The play's story was not disclosed publicly.
