Cavalcade of Homes Returns to NKY During Weekends this Month
The Cavalcade of Homes returns to showcase seven Northern Kentucky Homes on weekends in June.
The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky announced the free tours to take place June 6-7, 13-14, and 20-21, noon to 5 p.m. each day.
“Visitors of this event will experience several newly built homes in new communities across Northern Kentucky built by Registered Builders of our association,” said Brian Miller, executive vice president of the Building Industry Association. “Registered Builders provide the home buyer with a level of comfort knowing that these building professionals conform with a high standard to earn and maintain the title of registered builder.
"After spending more time at home than ever before due to the pandemic, this is an outstanding opportunity to talk with our Registered Builders and get a feel for the comfort and customization a new home in Northern Kentucky affords you. We are seeing strong signs that the construction industry will lead us out of the recession caused by the pandemic. Bidding wars on home inventory have jumped from 9% in April to 41%, as seen in recent news. Housing sales picked up .6% in April when economists believed housing sales would drop 30%. On top of that, Chief Administration Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow now claims that there will be strong economic growth in the third quarter of 2020. If all this is true, you will see construction rebound first and fast."
Miller also noted this year’s changes.
“This year, our Cavalcade of Homes tour will look a little different, with strict protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of our guests," he said. "We ask that all guests maintain 6-feet between each other and builder representatives in the home and provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE). Our builder representatives will limit the number of people within each home to 10 at any given time and they will sanitize each home after guests exit. Please be patient with us this year as we carry out protocols to ensure your safety.”
The tour will feature homes in Covington, Fort Mitchell, Villa Hills, Crestview Hills, Union, and Walton.
