USS Nightmare Won't Open for 2020 Season

The USS Nightmare won't open for the Halloween season this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual tradition on the Newport riverfront features an old riverboat full of horrors where visitors flock for a yearly scream while touring the "haunted" vessel.

"This was a difficult decision to make and one that was not taken lightly. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a 2021 season that is promised to be bigger and better than ever," the USS Nightmare posted on Facebook.
