Church Donates 45,000 Lbs. of Food to GO Pantry
A donation of 45,000 pounds of food was made to GO Pantry by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A large truck made the delivery last Wednesday to GO Pantry in Florence for distribution to people in need.
GO Pantry provides meals for low-income children who receive most of their food while school is in session.
"GO Pantry serves students in the NKY area that are food insecure," said Beth McIntire, director of operations at GO Pantry. "We provide GO bags to help the student through the weekend and GO Boxes to help the student and their family through longer breaks such as winter break, spring break, and summer. The 45,000-pound donation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be used to help fill boxes for the winter break. We truly could not help those in need without our incredible community partners."
