NKU Senior Wins Entrepreneur Competition, Will Represent Cincinnati at National Level
Northern Kentucky University senior Isaiah Kelly will represent the Cincinnati area in a national competition for young entrepreneurs after winning the 2020 regional Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA).
The local regional event is presented by the Entrepreneurs' Association of Cincinnati.
Kelly is the creator of a shoe customization service called Smoove Creations. He presented it during Startup Cincy Week and was selected from other local student candidates.
Kelly was awarded a $1,000 cash prize and more than $10,000 of in-kind assistance from current EO Cincinnati members. In addition, he will represent Cincinnati at the national competition, competing for the opportunity to represent the United States at the global finals in Washington, D.C.
To qualify for the GSEA awards, undergraduate or college students must have a company operating for at least six months with at least $500 in revenue. This is the third year that EO Cincinnati has offered this awards program.
