NKY Libraries to Reopen on Monday
The libraries of Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties are set to reopen on Monday after shuttering due to new COVID-19-related restrictions.
The Boone County Public Library said that all fines for overdue items are waived indefinitely.
All returned items are quarantined for three days, the library said.
All but one Boone County library branch reopens on Monday. Chapin Memorial Library reopens on Tuesday.
Branch hours can be found here.
Campbell County Public Library is reopening its branches on Monday (though Alexandria is closed until Tuesday, per its usual hours).
Hours for Cold Spring, Carrico/Fort Thomas and Newport branches are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Hours for the Alexandria branch are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
No fines for overdue materials are being assessed since quarantined items are held for four days before being cleared from patron accounts. Curbside service for quick pick up of library holds will continue to be offered and is encouraged at all branches.
Computer reservations may be made on the library’s website or by calling the preferred branch. Printing, scanning, faxing and document shredding services also available. Meeting and study rooms, which are being used to quarantine returned items and store furniture removed to meet social distancing measures, remain unavailable for public use.
