Photos: NKU Men Split Weekend Match-Ups with Youngstown State
Northern Kentucky men's basketball fell Sunday 70-60 at home against Youngstown State.
The Penguins used a 9-0 run midway through the second half and the Norse could not overcome the deficit.
Trevon Faulkner led NKU with 20 points.
The Norse beat Youngstown State on Saturday at BB&T Arena 79-64 to open Horizon League play.
NKU is now 3-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
The Norse play host to Oakland next Saturday and Sunday for a pair of games.
Meanwhile, the NKU women's team won its fourth straight game, 80-63 at Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Norse are now 4-4 on the season and 4-0 in Horizon League play.
Grayson Rose scored a career-high 23 points in the victory while Lindsay Duvall added 20, and Ally Niece put in 13.
NKU plays Cleveland State for a two-game tilt January 1 and 2.
