Thomas More Women Move Up to #4 in National Coaches Poll
The undefeated Thomas More women's basketball team moved up four sports to #4 in the latest 2020-21 NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll.
The Saints are 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the Mid-South Conference.
Thomas More is also ranked eleventh nationally in three-point field goals made (120) and in free-throw percentage (78.5%). They average 9.23 three-point field goals per game, ranking them thirteenth nationally.
Sophomore Courtney Hurst, a Conner High School graduate, ranked fourteenth in the country in total three-point field goals made (36), and twentieth in three-point field goals made per game (3).
The Saints crushed Cumberland (Tenn.) on Monday night, 71-36 and are back in action on Thursday at Freed-Hardeman.
Conference rival Campbellsville is the top-ranked team in the country. A game between TMU and Campbellsville scheduled for last week was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. They are set to play on February 1.
