More Work Coming to More Local Bridges
More work is coming to more local bridges.
The Roebling Suspension Bridge is already closed to vehicular traffic as part of a restoration project, and the Brent Spence Bridge has restricted vehicular access due to an ongoing maintenance and painting project.
Now, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 Office says a navigation lighting project is on the way to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge (an oft-used alternative to the Brent Spence between Covington and Cincinnati), the Fourth Street/Veterans Bridge (between Newport and Covington), and the Daniel Carter/"Big Mac" Bridge (between Newport and Cincinnati along I-471).
The work starts Monday night and will close a single lane on the Clay Wade Bailey through April 9.
Each day, the lane will close at 7 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. the following morning.
