The goal is to collect school supplies for local students who are returning to class next month.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kroger Marketplace in Independence (1700 Declaration Drive).
The supplies will benefit students in Independence and southern Kenton County.
The organizations are specifically hoping for donations of scissors, erasers, highlighters, crayons, pencil boxes, glue sticks, #2 pencils, blue/black/red pens, dry erase markers, washable markers, three-ring binders, dividers, notebooks, folders, 3x5 index cards, loose-leaf paper, backpacks, tissue boxes, paper towels, and hand sanitizers.
"As we move toward a more traditional school year this year, we are proud to do our part to help the local children get back to normal," a news release said. "Please help us spread the word so we, as a community, can make sure these children are well equipped for the upcoming school year. Both item donations and cash donations can be made on location on the above day."
