$100,000 in Construction Equipment Reported Stolen at Erlanger Site
A construction site in Erlanger was hit by a thief or thieves over the weekend, and roughly $100,000 worth of tools and equipment was taken.
"They stole a lot of tools. They have several sub-contractors there, for every field, plumbing, dry wall, electric. They're doing all that in that building and almost all of them have tools," said Sgt. Jon Sterling, public information officer at Erlanger Police Department.
Investigators believe that the site on the 800 block of Dolwick Drive, where a SUN Behavioral Health facility is under construction, was targeted in the overnight hours of Saturday and Sunday.
Police have released very little information but said more would be released when possible.
The facility, a joint operation with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, will focus on mental and addiction services when it opens later this year.
Anyone with helpful information is asked to call Erlanger Police.
