$50,000 Winning Lottery Tickets Sold in Ludlow, Erlanger
Nobody hit the big Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night but four people in Kentucky had tickets worth $50,000 - including one in Ludlow and another in Erlanger.
The Kentucky Lottery announced Thursday that one $50,000-winning ticket was sold at Riverside Market Place on Elm Street in Ludlow and another at Thornton's on Dixie Highway in Erlanger.
"We have not heard from any of the winners just yet," said Sara Westerman, Kentucky Lottery spokesman, in a news release. "As always, they are encouraged to sign the back of their tickets as they are bearer instruments. Kentucky Lottery winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim a prize."
Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated $550 million for Saturday night’s drawing.
The cash option amount is $347.9 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot is $445 million, marking the first time in the games' history that both are above $400 million at the same time.
