NKY Chamber's Pints & Perspectives Explores The Arts and Business

The Cincinnati region is home to world-class arts amenities and is one of the rare American cities to boast an opera, ballet, symphony, art museum, regional theatre, and other accoutrements of big-city entertainment.

Northern Kentucky also holds its own in its arts offerings.

On Thursday, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce continues its Pints & Perspectives series with "The Arts & Business". An expert panel will discuss the vibrant local arts scene and how it supports and enriches the business community.

Carnegie executive director Kim Best, ArtsWave president & CEO Alecia Kintner, and Duke Energy's Rhonda Whitaker (chair of the ArtsWave campaign) will take part in the discussion moderated by RCN's Michael Monks.

“A big part of attracting new businesses to the region and retaining top talent comes down to quality of life and entertainment options, and the arts are a huge factor in that,” said NKY Chamber president & CEO Brent Cooper. “We’re lucky to have a vibrant arts community in Northern Kentucky led by organizations such as The Carnegie and ArtsWave.”

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 22, from 4:30 - 6 p.m. at the Carnegie (1028 Scott Blvd., Covington).

As part of the program, the Chamber will also recognize five of the Emerging 30 designees. To qualify for this recognition, companies must have achieved at least $250,000 in revenue and an average annual growth of 15% or more over the past three years. Companies being featured in March include Greater Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., Nexigen, Scooter Media, Sitetology, LLC, and Wieda’s Marine, LLC.

Pints & Perspectives is the newest networking event from the NKY Chamber. Hosted six times per year, Pints & Perspectives gives attendees the opportunity to network and discuss regional issues. Previous topics have included the region’s booming bourbon industry and the economic impact of college sports on the economy.

Registration for Pints & Perspectives is $25 for Chamber members, $35 for future members. Pre-registration is required and is available online at

The Title Sponsor for Pints & Perspectives is Kerry Nissan, and Emerging 30 is sponsored by Forcht Bank. The March Venue Sponsor is The Carnegie. This event is being held in partnership with The Metropolitan Club.
