Woman Arrested After Suspected Overdose Ahead of Covington Crash
A woman is behind bars after allegedly overdosing and crashing on Madison Avenue in Covington.
Late Friday morning on the 2300 block of Madison, Stephanie Blair was behind the wheel of a Jaguar that went from the southbound to the northbound lanes, jumping the sidewalk, and ultimately crashing into a decorative fence outside the Housing Authority of Covington offices.
Blair, 34, is lodged at the Kenton County Detention Center where she is charged with first degree wanton endangerment, first degree drug possession (methamphetamine), third degree possession of an unspecified drug, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, and first degree criminal mischief.
She is being held on $2,500 bond and is set to appear in Kenton District Court on Monday morning.
Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders confirmed via Twitter that Blair is suspected of overdosing ahead of the crash.
