Covington Rotary Seeks Young Professionals for France Trip
The Covington Rotary Club is seeking young professionals (ages 25 - 40) to apply for its four-week long Group Study Exchange which next February will send a few people to Grenoble, France. Aplicants must be employed full-time in any of the counties within Rotary District 6740 which covers the eastern half of Kentucky.
In a typical four-week tour, applicants participate in five days of vocational visits, 15 to 20 Rotary Club presentations, 10 to 15 formal visits and social events, two to three days at the district conference or assembly, three to four hours per day of cultural and site tours, and three to four hours per day of free time with host families. For each team member, the Rotary Foundation provides the most economical roundtrip airline ticket between the home and host countries. Rotarians in the host area provide for meals, lodging, and group travel within their district.
Following the trip, those who visited Grenoble will be expected to make a presentation on what was learned to the Rotary Club, participate in the annual district conference, and perhaps make presentations to other members of the community. Most expenses will be covered while abroad except for those of an incidental or personal nature. To apply, email Arnold Taylor by October 8.
