Emergency Road Funds Awarded to Independence
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the City of Independence will receive $52,700 in Municipal Road Aid emergency funds.
The city will use the funds for a slide repair on Crowe Road (CS 1218) located .14 mile southwest of Old Richards Road.
This road serves several residences in Independence and Kenton County. The repair will make it safer for cars, school buses, and other vehicles.
“These projects are an example of the cabinet’s commitment to provide a solid infrastructure in Independence and Kenton County,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock.
The City of Independence is responsible for administering the work.
